Antique Fly Shaped Gemstone Stickpin,Mid-Nineteenth Century, 15kt Yellow Gold Auction Includes: An antique yellow gold and gemstone stickpin, mid-nineteenth century, in the shape of a fly, accented with an oval bright blue natural sapphire measuring approximately 3.5 x 3.0 mm., seven old mine-cut diamonds, ranging from approximately 0.10 - 0.15 carat each with a total estimated weight of approximately 0.30 carat, and two natural ruby cabochons. The pin measures 2 1/2 inches long and weighs 2 grams. The crafsmanship and quality of the gemstones is excellent, and condition is very good, with some wear to the pin stem. The pin was tested to be approximately 15 karat gold, indicating English origin.
